I love how different it is from most paranormal reads out there. Celtic folklore or Irish Druid mythology is interesting, add the legends of the carriers, the orders, secret societies and elemental powers I am sold. Since the setting is set in Ireland I did expect the touch of Irish lore in the story. Thankfully Leigh Fallon didn’t forgot to add Irish accent dialogues which provide more authenticity to the story. But Megan seems not as fascinated as I am with Ireland, instead she is more into Adam DeRis, which I certainly understand. I want Megan to describe few more details of her surroundings and not other unimportant things like her shoes or her hair.

Though I am happy to find Kinsale, Dublin and Charles Fort in the story I still want more descriptions of the place. So from the first few pages I anticipated how the author will take advantage of her settings. Ireland for me is like a magical place with its own beauty and mystery. One of the place that I am always fascinated. I got excited when I read from the first page that the story is set in Ireland. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRÍs.īut Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago-and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction. After growing up in America, she’s surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place.
